What is a Klempli Sports Field?

Klempli sports fields are constructed by joining molds without welding using clamps. The clamp is produced from a special cast material and applied to the field area.

Klempli sports fields are among the safest types of sports fields. Surrounded by fences on all four sides and featuring thick steel structures, klempli sports fields are slightly more complex to construct but offer excellent safety. The main component used in construction, which gives the system its name, is the clamp, a type of cast iron material. It allows horizontal and vertical frames to be connected tightly without welding.

First, the area where the field will be built is determined. Then the ground is checked for stability. After confirming a solid ground, various cylinders are placed. Excavation points are marked and digging is carried out, followed by pouring concrete into the excavated areas. After the concrete dries, formwork is installed, and a type of concrete called tie beam concrete is poured over it. These are the main construction steps of klempli sports fields.

Klempli Sports Field Application

First, the ground where the field will be built is leveled and compacted using cylinders. Excavations for tie beams are made using a JCB machine. Foundation concrete is poured into the excavated areas. A 25CM x 50CM formwork is installed. Reinforcement steel is placed inside. Before pouring concrete, anchor bolts for the posts are placed between the reinforcement steel, and then the tie beam concrete is poured.

After the tie beams are completed, gravel in sizes No. 4, No. 3, and No. 2 is layered up to the level of the tie beam concrete. The system has a height of H:600CM. Vertical posts are 76x3mm and horizontal rails are 60x2mm. The entire system is powder coated. Clamps (cast material) are installed without welding.

The purpose of the clamp is to connect vertical and horizontal frames together without welding using a cast fastening system.
